PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Cape Daisy, or monarch of the Veldt, is native to South Africa. The startlingly brilliant orange flowers are a vivid counterpoint to the soft grey-green felted foliage. Attractive to bees but distasteful to deer, they are valuable as cut flowers. In northern gardens provide a warm, sheltered, sunny spot with freely draining soils and some flower fertilizer midseason—they will continue in bloom with little care until late fall. It dislikes high humidity and heat as well as extended rainy weather. Deadhead for neatness and continuous flower production.
