Reddish hairs cover this superb container plant's pointed leaves and buds, making them as soft as a kitten's ear. More compact than the species, its large royal purple open flowers bloom from spring to fall and will continue to bloom indoors in the greenhouse or cool room.

Tibouchina is a beautiful specimen plant that grows shrublike filling large containers with fuzzy leaves and large violet purple blooms. Bring indoors before first autumn frost. Keep in a sunny, south-facing window during cold months and cut back in springtime to shape and encourage a full, branching habit.
