Swan River Daisy 'Purple Splendor'

Brachyscome iberidifolia
The lightly fragrant flowers of Purple Splendor outdo themselves in blooming, often covering the filigree foliage in an extravagance of one-inch daisy flowers with yellow or striking black centers. They are best in temperate summer areas where the nights cool down, at the garden's edge, or in containers, where their graceful habit softens edges. Shear lightly after the first flush of bloom and fertilize to encourage renewed flowering.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Swan River daisies are known for their abundant blooming, which can completely cover the delicate foliage with an extravagant display of one-inch daisy flowers. These flowers thrive in temperate summer areas where the nights are cool. They add an elegant touch to any rock garden and do best in well-drained soil at the front of a garden bed or in a clay pot where their graceful habit can soften the edges. To encourage renewed blooming, it is best to shear the plants lightly after their first flush of blooms, adding a layer of compost or fertilizing with flower fertilizer that is low in nitrogen and high in phosphorus.
