Euphorbia marginata
A native of Missouri and Arkansas and deemed "a most elegant species...",by seedsman Joseph Breck in 1851. This long-time favorite has fleshy green and white ribboned leaves that develop at the tops of the plants. Zinnias make colorful companions in cottage gardens or cutting gardens. Wear gloves when handling, as the sap can cause dermatitis. Self-sows.

SOWING INSTRUCTIONS
Depth:
1/4"; soak seeds for 8 hours in warm water or nick the seed coat to speed germination.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Native snow on the mountain is an old-fashioned flower that should be more widely grown, as it is invaluable as a foil for hot-colored summer annuals, for its cool-green and white variegated foliage develops mid-summer. Grow mid border and in well-drained areas, pinching when 6" tall. Self-sows. Caution: Some people may experience a rash from handling these plants if the sap contacts skin; wear gloves to prevent reactions.
