Salvia - Bog Sage

Salvia uliginosa
A tall, willowy beauty whose flowers match the true blue of mid-summer skies. Bog sage is beautiful in combination with peach and violet-pink tall dahlias or weaving amongst cosmos and heleniums. A back-of-the-border gem that deer avoid and bees seek out.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
First described by botanists in 1833, bog sage was found in moist areas in its native Brazil and Argentina. Versatile, it adapts easily to regular garden soils, where its spreading nature is dampened. The airy flower wands attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds to back borders, lovely paired with Heleniums and Patrinia.
