Pimpernel 'Skylover'

Anagallis monellii
The electric blue flowers of pimpernel are made even more brilliant by their vivid fuchsia centers and gold pollen. Once known as Italian pimpernel, this Mediterranean native thrives in drier soils once established and produces scads of flowers all summer, a perfect choice to edge gardens or fill containers along with California poppy.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
With its rare true-blue coloring, blue pimpernel or Flax-leaved Pimpernel as it once was called, takes center stage in containers, well-drained garden edges, and rock gardens. Gray weather and rain will close the flowers up until the sun urges the starry flowers with pink centers to pop open. Pinch for more branching and more of those intensely blue flowers and deadhead for a show until frost.
