PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Painted daisy or pyrethrum daisy has 3" blooms that brighten sunny borders and containers. Corraled to rows in the cutting garden, they are harvested for long-lasting cut flowers in summer. Avoid wet soils; the plant requires moisture, but needs excellent drainage and is somewhat drought-tolerant. Pinch plants back when they reach about 6" tall to encourage a bushy, well-branched habit. Deadhead for continued bloom. Wear gloves when harvesting, as the sap may cause contact dermatitis in sensitive persons. Self-sows.
