PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
This Gold Medal winner was honored for its quick-to-bloom nature–the first year from seed sown in spring–and the rich saturated blue of its flowers. Compact and branching, it is a good choice for container culture or at the front of borders.
Final Spacing:
8"-1'
Water Requirements:
Medium Water Use
Watering Details:
Keep moist, especially in full sun, but avoid saturated soils.
Soil pH:
Prefers slightly acidic to neutral, but will grow in slightly alkaline soils.
Fertilizer:
Mix in a couple of inches of compost prior to planting.
Diseases & Pests:
Powdery mildew can be prevented by providing good air circulation and keeping the soil evenly moist. Water the soil, not the leaves mornings only so they dry readily.
