PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Giant scabious is a very hardy perennial with coarse-textured basal foliage and strong, wiry stems, each bearing large primrose-yellow pin cushion flowers that attracts pollinators. Blooming over the summer months, it is best suited to sunny gardens at the back of the cottage garden border, with delphiniums and tall verbena, or any aspect where the airy flowering stems can be highlighted. Also suitable for the naturalistic garden paired with grasses and Joe Pye weed. Soil should be moist and fertile for the best show of flowers. Deadhead or cut back after bloom.
