Starting Indoors:
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sprinkle with vermiculite or cover with a humidity dome to aid germination. Keep at 65-75F, until germination, then grow on at 50-55F.
Starting Outdoors:
Direct sow spring to early summer for blooms the following year.

Ruffly bright scarlet Geum 'Red Dragon' adds movement and brilliant color to borders, containers and cut flower gardens. Grow in masses and avoid areas with hot unrelenting sun and dry soils, especially in summer. Cut back untidy foliage after the main flowering time for fresh dark green growth. A short-lived perennial, deadhead leaving some to drop seed and renew your plantings, or divide every three years. Best in compost enriched, freely draining soils.
