PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Geum 'Lady Stratheden's citrus-hued flowers start blooming in late spring, adding movement and brilliant color to borders, containers and cut flower gardens. Grow in masses and avoid areas with hot unrelenting sun and dry soils, especially in summer. Cut back untidy foliage after the main flowering time for fresh dark green growth. A short-lived perennial, deadhead leaving some to drop seed and renew your plantings, or divide every three years. Best in compost enriched, freely draining soils.
Watering Details:
About 1" of water a week. They do best when evenly moist soils are provided. Avoid saturated soils and provide good drainage, especially important in the winter months.

Slightly acidic soil, 5.8-6.5pH
Fertilizer:
Mix in 2" of compost before planting. As buds form, apply a low nitrogen flower fertilizer or liquid kelp.
When to Cut for Bouquets:
Cut when one or two blooms on a stem start to open.
