Calliopsis has free-wheeling blooms that brighten garden edges with starry flowers in cream and mahogany-red. The mainstay of relaxed meadow gardens, cottage gardens, and vegetable gardens, coreopsis attracts beneficial insects and butterflies. Grow in large drifts for the best show. Upright and bushy they are filled with flowers in summer that should be deadheaded for longer bloom. Sucessive sow three weeks after first sowing into early July for a fresh crop of fall flowers.
