Calamintha 'Marvelette Blue'

Calamintha nepeta
Aptly named 'Marvelette' won a Fleuroselect Gold Medal, notable for its compact growth, large flowers, and eagerness to flower quickly from seed. The flower wands cluster together, creating a beautiful cloud of bloom that is perfect for edging along well-drained borders. Its minty-scented foliage helps repel pests, while bees and butterflies are attracted to the nectar-rich flowers.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Aromatic calamint is an excellent addition to the herb garden and makes a superb, low-maintenance edger in perennial gardens, as well as starring in pollinator gardens and summer containers. Shear after bloom or allow to self-sow to create drifts of cloud-like flowers. It thrives in medium moisture soils and tolerates some drought and shallow soils, but dislikes high humidity summer regions and wet winter soils.
