Native to the midwest plains and South, this quick to bloom annual is perfect for kickstarting your pollinator garden. Easy to grow, it is adaptable but grows best in moist, well-drained areas. Sow in drifts and be rewarded with visiting butterflies and bees. The 2" flowers have drooping petals of gold surrounding prominent chocolate brown centers. Self-sows abundantly.

Clasping coneflower is easy to grow native annual and adaptable to many conditions. It is filled with flowers in summer, especially if grown in rich, organic soils, and butterflies and bees find it full of nectar and pollen. Add to meadow plantings and informal borders and pollinator gardens.
