The small paintbrush blossoms of tassel flower dance on the tops of curvy stems, adding a free-spirited ambiance to cottage gardens and containers. It weaves in and about summer border staples like zinnias and is impactful in drifts at the garden's edge. An unusual cut flower for its vivid scarlet hue contrasts beautifully with its blue-green leaves in bouquets. A rare old-fashioned favorite that was called Flora's Paintbrush and Scarlet Cacalia way back in 1827. Self sows.
