The reason I purchased this was for its intoxicating fragrance (I've had Tobacco "Jasmine" plants in years past). There is absolutely NO fragrance associated with this particular plant. NONE. I would have given it a one star review, however, the flowers are really SO very pretty and this plant is blooming profusely. But, again, I wanted the fragrance.
I had the same experience. No scent. HOWEVER, we loved this tall swaying beauty in the middle of a huge whiskey barrel surrounded by shorter pale pinks and trailing ipomoea "blackie."
These are the most bizarre plants! I planted them under my black walnut (a no no) last year. Nothing happened. In December, large, lush leaves popped up. By March, long stems began to appear. And that was it. I asked my daughter to cut them down. Luckily, she misunderstood, because the next day, large, gorgeous flowers just erupted. They’re so lovely and the scent is heavenly. I would definitely recommend them!
