Tobacco Seeds

Unlike modern hybrid selections, our old-fashioned flowering tobaccos lift their trumpet-shaped flowers and send forth a wonderful lily-like fragrance in the late afternoon and evening, closing only when the sun becomes strong the next morning. Surface sow the tiny seeds as thinly as you can onto seed germination mix 6-8 weeks before setting out, or outdoors into a finely prepared and raked seed bed. Half Hardy Annuals can be planted out a week or two before your last spring frost.
