Deer Resistant Plants

Plant an array of flower varieties with aromatic foliage that deer find unpalatable, and enjoy your garden again! Some are frightfully pungent, such as certain lantanas and salvias, and others pleasantly mint or licorice scented, such as bee balms and Agastache. Lavender and scented geranium's scented foliage is loved by us all but detested by deer. Rough, scratchy, or prickly foliage also discourages deer predation, so rabbits and deer pass over heliotrope and sea holly. Poisonous Datura and tobacco are also off the menu, so add these and more to your deer-resistant garden for a summer full of flowers!
