Ok, I have been growing Zinnias from seed for about 20 years. I grew this variety of Benary last year and was amazed of the color! The picture on the website is too red. Its more between red and a Burgundy. It was one of the most beautiful Zinnias I've grown! Its great for picking. I also grew the Benary Lime (green) Zinnia as well. Together with the wine and Lime...great combo for a vase! My recommendation is to direct sew when the frost threat has passed. Zinnias I've learned don't transplant easy always. However, very easy to grow. Watch out for powdery mildew even though they are supposedly resistant. Make sure you space enough to keep the mildew threat minimal. Once fully grown, lots of cut flower potential!
