PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
These floriferous Cosmos suphureus varieties are great in butterfly gardens and the border. Sulfur cosmos tolerate drought conditions making them a good choice for dry meadow plantings. The flowers bloom with abandon and can finish blooming in midsummer if seedheads are left on the plant. Deadhead daily or shear after the first flush of flowers to encourage rebloom, reseed in midsummer, or replace with a quick blooming annual. Self-sows.

1.5'

Low Water Use
Watering Details:
Drought tolerant. Water regularly while establishing, then only during dry, hot spells.

No major pests or diseases. Powdery mildew can be discouraged with a regular preventative application of a baking soda based spray.
When to Cut for Bouquets:
Harvest when flowers start to open to 1/2 open; best vase life before the flowers are pollinated.
