This is the third time I've tried to grow these. Pennsylvania (zone 6) usually is great with QAL in the wild. The third try was in a re-cultivated garden with lots of new garden soil and careful watering. The first year (2019) a 1 foot tall plant appeared and produced several small but lovely flowers. This year the plant is 5' tall with 18 flowers and buds. The largest is nearly 6" across. Colors are pale lavender to deep elderberry. What a wonderful plant. I'm buying seeds and sending them to friends.
