Lady's Mantle 'Robustica'

Alchemilla mollis
Add a swath of effervescent flowers of spring green to perennial borders and along pathways, exceptionally beautiful combined with sweet Williams and foxgloves in sunny to partly shaded locations. Lady's mantle foliage can be renewed after blooms fade by cutting back to the ground. A fresh crop of serrated-edge leaves catches spring showers, transforming water droplets into silvery beads.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Lady's Mantle is a beautiful perennial plant with billowing lime-green flowers and attractive leaves that catch raindrops, transforming them into shimmering silver droplets. This plant pairs exceptionally well with other garden favorites like perennial geraniums and Geum, especially when planted at garden edges or as an underplanting for shrubs. Lady's Mantle prefers cooler climates and benefits from being cut back hard after blooming. Applying a layer of compost as mulch can help to promote renewed foliage interest throughout the remainder of the growing season. Perennials like Lady's Mantle typically devote their first year of growth to establishing a robust root system and foliage. They will usually bloom more abundantly starting in their second year of growth.
