PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
Ornamental rather than culinary, oregano Barbara Tingey spills from containers and hanging baskets, tumbles over garden walls, and edges drier Mediterannean gardens with unique flowers. The dangling hop-like flowers are composed of overlapping papery bracts that start pale green then flush with rose as they develop and grow longer. The petite true flowers peek out between the bracts in summer. Grow in masses for the best display of this first-rate oregano.
