These performed fantastic for me. I planted them in the worst possible soil patch in my yard (clay) and they thrived. I transplanted some to another area and thougt they would not make it because roots looked underdeveloped from the clay and they thrived after transplant. This sunflower is beautiful -- pale yellow and fluttery in the breezes. The goldfinches LOVE THIS PLANT. More than any other sunflower i have ever grown, the finches would be dangling and eating this plant. They liked the fresh seed not the dried out ones. This was a delight to grow. In certain times of day the pale yellow ivory would just glow. Also some of the blooms had a very faint vanilla smell but I have a good nose so It may have just been me that picked up on that.
