Phlox 'Phlox of Sheep'

Phlox drummondii
It's amazing how the flower clusters of this hardy annual resemble their more lofty cousins, the perennial phloxes. 'Phlox of Sheep' has warm summery shades of pink, buff, apricot, coral, and white. Its plush clusters of five-petaled flowers bloom all summer long in moderate summer areas, especially when trimmed of its spent flowers, or gathered for arrangements.

PLACEMENT & CULTIVATION
One of my favorite annuals, heirloom Drummond's phlox varieties come in a rainbow of colors, this mix a combination of baby pinks, coral, cream and white. An old-fashioned cut flower that lasts well in the vase, it is lovely grown in drifts along the garden's edge and in containers. Annual phlox is covered in bloom all summer and fall in moderate heat and humidity. Deadhead for continual bloom and provide good soil drainage and ample air circulation to avoid any problems.
