They did not survive the winter. I planted two Chapel HIll lantana plants in the Spring of 2019. They did well, grew rapidly and were well established by the end of the season. We are in zone 7 and had a mild weather during the winter but I'm disappointed that they did not survive.
I'm glad to say that I was wrong! It is now May and small green shoots are just starting to appear. My "Miss Huff" lantana reappeared in late March and was over 12 inches tall by early April. When I wrote the review there was nothing from the Chapel Hill so I thought it was dead. No, just waiting another 6 weeks to appear.
Hi Terry, Thanks so much for your feedback. This variety is known to be reliably hardy to zone 8, though I did some quick research and found that it has been found to survive in zone 7 if the plants are well established in their first season. I hope this information helps.
